Our System of Care
Our greatest goal is to give you the healthy, straight, beautiful smile that you've always wanted. We understand that choosing to receive orthodontic care is a big decision and we respect your reasons for wanting to improve the way you look and feel. Our practice will work with you every step of the way to make sure that your orthodontic care is as comfortable, convenient, and rewarding as possible. We use the latest technology, offering a variety of safe and gentle treatment options, giving you the customized, individual care that you deserve.
Every smile starts with a consultation!
Our goal at your first visit is to discover whether orthodontic treatment can benefit you.
A highly accurate 3-D digital impression and low-radiation Cone Beam x-rays will be obtained in order to aid in the diagnosis and planning of your treatment needs.
After a comprehensive orthodontic examination, Dr. Bonney and our treatment coordinator will talk with you, answer all of your questions and discuss the details of your treatment plan.
During the exam Dr. Bonney takes the time to explain her findings to you. She has the gift of explaining the findings in a way that you will understand. Please call (717)731-3466 to schedule your complimentary consultation.
What happens after the initial consultation?
If you do choose to proceed with orthodontic treatment, you will need to schedule your initial treatment appointment. Your first appointment is when Dr. Bonney and her team will place your new orthodontic appliances. Typically, this appointment is no longer than one hour, and then you're on your way toward your new smile!
Visiting the orthodontist on a regular basis is an important part of orthodontic treatment. Dr. Bonney will indicate when the patient is due for his/her next visit before you leave our office. Regular checkups last between 20-40 minutes and can be scheduled as early as 8 AM. Keeping your appointments is the best way to stay on track to have your appliances removed on time.
We understand that "life happens," so if you're running late or need to reschedule, please let us know and we will do everything we can to accommodate you. When you're ready to schedule your first appointment, call our practice at (717) 731-3466. We are looking forward to working with you.
Visiting the dentist during orthodontic treatment
It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist as directed during your orthodontic treatment for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups. If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure that you are receiving the best care possible.
